Weekend Adventures

So much for life slowing down when you have a newborn!

On Friday night, Sean and Katie stopped by to meet little miss Madeline, they spoiled her rotten with gifts and some serious snuggle time. Ok, so our nights in have become a little less rowdy since Madeline's arrival, but we were able to spend some time eating pizza, playing numerous rounds of ping pong (one of these days one of us will be able to beat Sean) and watching the X games, hoping Madeline doesn't get any ideas of what she wants to do when she grows up!

Saturday we were invited to our first play date! Ok, so Madeline is a little young for playing (thanks for the snuggle time everyone!), but it was so fun to watch the other kids play and think of how quickly these little people change! Claire (Angie and Art's daughter), Allie (Jeff and Sarah's daughter) and Thomas (Megan and Mike's son) are all pretty close in age and were having a blast with all of the new toys and crawling and chasing through the tunnel as well as sitting at their own little table for dinner! Charlotte (Angie and Art's youngest), Madeline and baby Boy Cannon will be the next round of trouble makers and it is scary how quickly they will be a part of the same activities! Dinner was fabulous despite a couple of burnt appetizers (it gets distracting chasing little people around!) and Megan again showed off her baking skills with a cookie dedicated to Madeline and baby boy Cannon due in June.

After breakfast at Millie's in Chanhassen (highly recommended) and some errands, we had to put our party pants back on for Cousin Elisa's 3rd birthay party at Pump it up in Ham Lake. Her nasty cold didn't slow her down at all as she enjoyed playing with friends and opening her gifts. In comparison to years past, it has been a really fun age as she can understand and comprehend all of the birthday fun!
