Week 5 in Pictures

Sorry about the lack of posts this week - we have had a busy little social calendar!

Tuesday marked 5 weeks for Ms. Madeline. We met Jeremy and my friend Jen downtown to preview her newborn pictures that Jen took (more to come :). We had a "skype" date with Nana and Papa Kaufman in Denver (I love technology!) and surprisingly enough I was wearing the same outfit! Striped pants are cute :).

For as often as I spend my days in sweatpants (no use getting all dressed up to be spit and pooped on all day - the joys of motherhood!) I enjoy nothing more than dressing Madeline up in all of her adorable little outfits and now that we are officially in the 0-3 month range, our wardrobe has expanded substaintially! The bottom pic is from today - I just love this outfit - thanks mom!

This week also marked the entrance of some new apparatuses into our house...we brought in the swing and the play mat from the garage...what a bad mom I am - she LOVES them both - the swing for short naps and the mat for some quality play time! Here I thought she was a little too young for the mat...but I put her on and watched her eyes travel to each of the toys as she batted her little arms and legs at them in enjoyment - here she must of been so bored just staring at my face all day!

We also met friends Megan and Michelle for lunch (thanks for the lunch time conversation - it is so fun to get out and catch up with good friends). As well as a Thursday birthday dinner at Benihana - where they cook all of the meat, veggies and rice right at your table! Elisa had a blast watching the chef "perform" and of course enjoyed every last drop of ice cream at the end...Madeline slept the entire time...I am enjoying these days of sleeping while we are out in public, as I know these days won't last!
