Well, I realize it has been 2 weeks ago since I went back to work...but the week before I went back, Madeline and I had so much fun and took so many great pictures that I couldn't resist posting them!
Monday was our play date with my Bennie Tennis friends Liz and Betsy, it was so great to see all of the kids - Liz's little girls Maddie and Amelia were so cute and Maddie reminds me so much of Liz in both looks and personality, it is adorable! She is definitely proud to be a big sister. Adam (betsy's little boy) loved showing all of his toys to Maddie and was so cute with baby Madeline - little does he realize that he will have a little brother or sister this fall! I was so proud of all four of these little guys to sit on the couch so patiently while we take their picture - it was priceless! With Betsy at home and Liz working part time, we are hoping that we can make a couple more play dates work this summer at the park.

Tuesday Madeline and I were able to sneak in one more baby yoga class.
Wednesday, Madeline and I met my Irish friend Angie out for lunch - well I don't think either Angie or I have a lot of Irish heritage, but we did become friends when we studied abroad in Ireland which gives us good excuses to celebrate St. Patrick's day in style every year :).

That night, we met up with Adam and Kara who we met at our baby class at Buffalo Wild Wings. It was funny, we ended up sitting next to them for the 6 weeks of the class and found out we had a lot in common, including the fact they were moving to Chanhassen. They had Addison about a week after Madeline, and it was adorable to see the 2 girls together. Madeline definitely has some catching up to do in the hair department! We joked that it will be fun to see Addie and Maddie grow up together. We decided to get some other bar dates on the calendar before the girls are not so easy to take out!

I couldn't have asked for a better week weather wise...Madeline, Mikko and I were able to spend lots of time outdoors. We went on numerous walks a day, spent some time at the park and on the deck and Jeremy was able to join us every evening for a walk or a run...I never dreamed of being able to do these things while on maternity leave in a Minnesota March...however, it does make me hope that baby #2 decides that spring or fall are good times to make an appearance :).

Friday marked my final day of maternity leave. I spent the morning with Catherine and her three kids - she makes being the mother of 3 kids look easy!! Madeline had a great time checking out some new toys and observing Nora and Owen playing with play dough and water colors! I was also able to sneak over to Stacy's house to meet little Sam. What a cutie! It was so fun to be pregnant with these girls all at the same time - and even more fun meeting all of the little ones we were anticipating.

I was so sad to see my maternity leave end, but I don't have any regrets. I spent so much quality time with Madeline and enjoyed every minute of it! I am so thankful for these three months to be with her every day to watch her grow...and I know daycare will make me appreciate even more every minute we have together!

Hey Katie,
I was thinking you must be back at work by now. Where does Madeline go to Day Care? How is it going? Loved the last post, so sweet. Hey next time invite me to the Bennie Tennis play date! Would love to see those girls/kiddos! Happy Birthday!
