Old Stomping Grounds...

for those dedicated blog readers....a couple of weeks back for our anniversary, each of us had to plan an event on a budget...Jeremy took me to the MOA -- due to the rain, we postponed the events until last weekend when we took full advantage of a BEAUTIFUL day up at SJU. We started the day in St. Joe with a Bo Diddley's sandwich and headed over to SJU so we could find Jeremy some game appropriate gear. He started the day off in a Wisconsin football shirt that wasn't well received on the U of M campus when we stopped to get bagels or at SJU even though it was bright red. With all of the Kansas gear in my closet, I thought it was appropriate...

The colors were just starting to come in, but due to an unseasonably warm fall in MN (strange huh?) there were only a couple of trees in peak... after the game we headed back to the car to drop off our Johnnie bread and found some pumpkin beers in the trunk...too bad noone packed a bottle opener. The Johnnie rat told us that if we shared with him that we could have a beer in the woods.

We ended the day with a stroll out to the chapel -- for those of you who haven't been out there in a while..they renovated it last year and in my opinion, they ruined it -- might be a blog post by itself!
A trip to SJU wouldn't be the complete without a trip to Gary's pizza for pizza and cheesy bread. Made me think of all of the old Bennie and Johnnie friends that wandered these campuses with me for 4 years.
