Boat Party!!

We decided there was still some time to get out on the lake with Joan and Jared's new boat. We knew that boating at the end of September was a little risky, but you can't stop a wild and crazy group of accountants. We were pretty lucky as Friday (and the entire weekend) was absolutely beautiful -- up in the 80's all day and definitely comfortable after dark.

We started the outing at Captain Jack's on Prior Lake for dinner and some cocktails....braved a quick rain shower and headed out on the boat.  It was a little late to see the beautiful homes on the lake, but as usual we were too busy catching up and sharing cocktails to notice.  During the three hour tour we took a break to celebrate Jill's 30th birthday and while Stacy "ruined everything" by dropping some of the cupcakes on the floor, Jill was able to make a wish and blow out the candles (even if the 3 was backwards -- so much for numbers ladies!).  Captain Jared did a wonderful job navigating a strange lake in the dark and was able to find our way back to the dock when the cooler was empty.

I am not sure if the moon was full or the lights from Mystic were upon us, it wasn't quite to the calibur of the Vikings cruise a couple of years ago, but I haven't laughed that hard in a long time...the Andersen girls are always equal to having a great time!
