Anniversary Weekend

It is hard to believe that we have been married for one year! What an amazing first year of marriage we have had!

To celebrate our first year of marriage, we set aside both days for ourselves to plan surprise events for each other. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate for Kate yesterday. So, we have rescheduled her event for next Saturday.

My event was obviously today. I tried to go along the theme of firsts. Essentially, I tried to go back to our first few dates. I ended up taking Kate to the Mall of America to play mini-golf. This time they did have a course open. I also wanted to include bowling at the Park Tavern; with Kate's finger still healing we had to cut that out. So, instead, I brought her to Underwater World.

After the day at Mall of America, I cooked Kate one of the first meals I ever prepared for her. Cajun seafood pasta, which includes shrimp and scallops. It was a delicious as we both remembered :)

One excellent, love-filled year almost down and 90 more to come!
