Weekend Update

With a free weekend on our hands, we decided to spend the day on Saturday at home.  It started with the KU vs. Iowa State game - which I normally wouldn't post about - but Madeline was wide awake, alert and provided me with so much entertainment as Jeremy watched the game.  I remember when I was pregnant with her, she would have active days and relaxing days, where Saturday was definitely active - she didn't sleep all afternoon!!

It was also hockey day in Minnesota (which I also wouldn't normally post about), and for those of you who are not Minnesotan, they pick a saturday and start with a high school hockey game outside usually somewhere near the Canadian border to make sure it is nice and cold then the gophers play and then the wild.  I found this comfy suit while shopping the clearance racks at target and knew Jeremy would get a kick out of it.  It is 0-3 months, but looks like she will need to be closer to 3 months to fit into it!!

It probably would have been appropriate to watch the wild, but instead we did some basement olympics starting with ping pong...I got my butt kicked, but I think it was all of the extra help Jeremy had on his side...

Sunday we were able to sneak in some snowshoeing before the NFC championship game.  Mikko loves to run around in the woods, and although we weren't at the dog park where she could chase other dogs, she was still smiling the entire hike!
