Happy 2 Week Birthday to ME!!

I can't believe it has already been two weeks since Madeline has joined the Kirschbaum family, but it is funny how quickly you can't remember life without her! And I know they grow so quickly, but I was so surprised today when I looked back at her pictures in the hospital compared to today -- and she is definitely growing!

We had her 2 week dr. appt this AM -- she has been so good, especially when she is expected to sit in a cold room in nothing but her diaper while some strange person checks her out -- I am sure that will all change when she starts getting shots :). I was hoping she gained some weight so I could be comforted by the fact that she is eating enough - and boy was I surprised that she put on nearly a full pound! She was 8lbs. 5 oz. (she was 7lbs. 8 oz. at her 5 day check up) which is in the 50%ile, while her height (21 inches) and head size were in the 75%. Don't ask me what all that means, but she seems to be growing just fine (although she promised Jeremy and I she wouldn't get any bigger!)

We were able to meet a coworker for coffee and run some errands which made our first errand trip out of the house and she did great - makes me hopeful that we will be able to escape out of the house more often!
