Sloppy Joes and Planting Hippos

We revived our Sunday night dinners with Catherine and Ken and their adorable children Nora and Owen. We made sloppy joes and Jeremy's homemade honey wheat roles, Catherine and Ken raided the garden and farmers market for some tasty salad and potatoes, and I finally fulfilled my promise to make rice krispie treats (I know -- real tough right??) Owen brought the beer :).

Nora and Owen are always a little on the shy side when we first arrive, but it doesn't take long before they are are out of their shells and entertaining us all! Owen kept himself busy with a bucket of water (be sure to notice the warning on the side of the bucket), Nora and I were busy planting 'seeds' in the sandbox. It went from normal planting of beans and potatoes to planting ponies and hippos -- Catherine and I decided to go with it to avoid the conversation of where ponies and hippos really came from :).

I am sure we will love having kids of our own someday, but until then, we are more than entertained by everyone elses -- thanks Nora and Owen for keeping us young :)
