I wish we were still in Cali

We were hoping that upon our return from California...Minnesota would decide it was spring...well, its May, and I feel like we are still waiting.  There have been some nice days sprinkled into the forecast, but nothing to truly indicate an official change of seasons...

Therefore, I feel justified in quickly finishing our California trip post as I would like to relive some sunnier days :)

After leaving the Cahill's, we headed to the San Diego Zoo - Safari Park.  It was the first time we visited a zoo and didn't feel bad for the animals -- their habitats were AMAZING!  At the far end of the zoo we got to hop on a train and go on a Safari. 

A fabulous day and the girls were amazing -- and ready for a much needed nap on the way back to palm springs!








The next day we spent some time with Jeremy's great uncle before heading up to the Palm Springs tram to the top of the mountains. There was an amazing state park at the top with lots of trails that we were hoping to sneak in some hiking, but the slushy ice/snow made for some tough trekking - and we just did a short jaunt before heading back down - definitely worth the trip just for the views!





Madeline missed her school pictures at daycare, but I couldn't have been more excited that instead she was spending some time in the sun. I did however make Jeremy snap some photos




Before heading to Joshua tree national park to spend or last day. I love the pictures, but definitely one of those places where the pictures don't do the place justice!
