Cali-Kirschbaum Day 2 - The Living Desert Zoo and Pool Fun!

So, yes Thursday night we were able to sleep quite comfortably given our new posh accommodations and the fact we did not have to be concerned about the creepy Belo-douchians watching over us.

Friday, we woke up and decided it would be a great zoo day. We headed west to The Living Desert Zoo. I would actually call this more of a desert arboretum than zoo. However, there were some animals that entertained Maddie and Elisa, which included:

A vulture...



a Road runner...



A Goat petting zoo, which Maddie LOVED!



Some Giraffes...



And even an ostrich...



However, Maddie's absolute favorite were the Macaws. You can't see them in the pictures, but you can tell by her expression how much she loved hearing them crow and of course say, "hello."



After the zoo and a nap, and a yogurt treat...


we hit the pool.



... and Maddie sure does love the pool. Especially when the water is warm.
