July? Why not...

These days are feeling more and more like fall...so I figured some fun summer posts can remind us all of the fun sunny summer days!

After a couple of busy weekends of the 4th of July and the trip to Madeline Island, we were ready for some low key weekends at home...

We decided to head back to the zoo...this time in the baby bjorn so Madeline might stay awake to see the animals - we knew our little observer would LOVE watching the animals









We spent some afternoons at the beach - as the summer went on, she enjoyed the water (and splashing) more and more...







We were also able to set up a bbq with Adam and Kara so we could see those adorable little girls together again - they are so similar in what they are doing, it is so cute to see them grow up together!





And we were able to spend an evening in Stillwater for Lumberjack days. Chicago was playing this year, and considering it was one of my favorite bands of all time, we had to go for $10! But we were quickly reminded that we had a baby as the time approached 9:30 before they even went on stage...so we had one of the most enjoyable walks back to the car with the sounds of Chicago in the background.
