May day, May day...Catching up on May events

Other than our fun trip to Bluefin bay, we had a fun month.

We kicked it off with Jeremy's 32nd birthday.  We spent a low key night at home - we ordered pizza and capped it off with some cold stone cake.  He got a watch from Madeline, some Boulevard smokestack series beers from Mikko and a twins jacket and photography lessons from me.  Madeline and I were able to sneak out of work early to take papa out for lunch at Ike's and Madeline was able to give him her card she made at daycare that morning -- so cute!  Happy Birthday Papa!

I celebrated my first Mothers day.  On Saturday, we spent some time with Jeremy's family and went to Lola's in Waconia for breakfast.

Which left Sunday to spend the day at home.  I got to sleep in which is by far the best mothers day gift ever.  After a wonderful breakfast, we checked out a new park for walk in Minnetonka.  We also took some pictures in our daffodil patch in our front yard.  I loved daffodils as a kid and we were so excited to have a couple of patches blooming this spring!!  It was such a fabulous day - and I can't think of anything better than being Madeline's mom :).  And I have a hot stone massage waiting for me...what could be better than that!

We had a great visit with Auntie Kate and Cousin Fischer during their trip to Minnesota.  It was great spending time catching up and watching Fischer being such an independent (and very dirty) little boy! Unfortunately for him, his trip to the Kirschbaum's ended with some time in the tub.  We tried to capture some pictures of the cousins together - I emphasize, we tried :).

Mikko also accomplished her first 5k.  It was called the Wag Walk and Run and funds raised support assistance dogs.  It was one of the hotter mornings for a run...but it was fun to run with all of he puppies and it was close...right across the street from my office in Eden Prairie...
