We arrived in KC last Thursday night. The drive down was mediocre as it rained the whole way! As we were gassed from the drive we spent the night in.
On Friday, we took caught some b-fast. Then, we took Mikko for a KC stroll. Mikko found her "Wilson" (a la Castaway).
For some reason she wanted to carry this odd tree fruit all the way back to Dan and Amy's house.
Later on in the day we headed into to downtown KC for the Boulevard Brewery Tour. It is an amazing tour with plenty of time to sample plenty of beers.
After the tour, we hit up the new Power and Light District next to the new Sprint Center. We had a few more drinks there. Then, we headed back to the Kansas side of town for a dinner.
Saturday, we headed in to Lawrence to watch Kansas get demolished by OU. We started off at a tailgate party that literally had a roasted pig.
Our seats that we scalped were not the best as we were located close to the field and beyond the end zone.
However, it did give us a chance to capture Mangino's enormity....
Thanks to Dan and Amy for the great hospitality! Thanks to KC for giving us a glimpse of fall, which MN failed to provide us this year.
