Happy Halloween!

For the first year ever, Kate and I decided to carve pumpkins.

It was harder work than we both expected. It also took us longer than expected. However, the end result was not disappointing.

Ok. Keeping with the KU theme, I chose the Beak 'Em Hawks pumpkin. Mikko chose a puppy stencil for her pumpkin...unfortunately Kate's pumpkin rotted before we could carve it, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise with the amount of time it took us just to carve 2!

Mikko wanted to display her handywork...we still think Mikko is the cuter puppy :)
