Dinner Guests

With the new house and puppy we have been lucky to have some dinner guests to help break in the new place!

Catherine and Ken stopped by with the kids the first day we brought Mikko home - the kids loved exploring the back yard and playing with the new puppy.



After breaking the pregnancy news to Catherine (one of my awesome role model mom's) we shared an Non-Alcoholic beer on the porch to celebrate.




Next were Joan, Jared and the kids Zach and Lauren. They brought Mikko an adorable blanket as a housewarming gift that Mikko loves and won't leave home without! The Wiese's are not known for being dog lovers, but they were no match for cute little puppy Mikko and both kids were excited to play and have her sit on their laps.


Angie, Art and Claire stopped by on a Rainy evening, we were unable to spend time out on the porch, but made the most of the indoors. Jeremy was excited to show off his Pad Thai recipe that had made many advancements since the Christmas party years before. Jeremy also spent some time teaching Claire some new tricks -- funny faces and how to smear brownie all over your face :).
Last but not least, Marcy and Nick were in town to celebrate her little sister Dani's graduation from high school (nothing makes you feel older than the fact that she was in elementary school when we were in college!!). We were lucky that Marcy and Nick are so savvy in the kichen as we lost a recipe and Marcy was able to knock out a pizza dough recipe from memory. As Marcy and I spent some quality time catching up, the boys were busy making the BIGGEST calzones I have EVER seen. We were sceptical on how they would cook, but they turned out fabulous! It is bittersweet with you guys town as it always makes me long for more....until next time :).
