Fall Ride at the Bloomington Flats

Last Saturday, OK we are cheating... Two Saturday's ago, we took advantage of the nice weather and hit the Bloomington Flats for a ride. First, however, I needed a haircut. This was followed by Bloody Marys at Sabas in Shakopee. We were able to catch the first quarter of the Gopher's game there. We knew we were in good company when a guy wandered in and responded to 'how are you?' with "The real question should be what do I want to drink!"

This was followed by a picnic/tailgate party at the Bloomington Ferry Bridge. The tailgate would have made Jared Fogel proud!
We proudly supported another quarter of the Gopher's victory over Illinois. Then, we headed off for our ride. The fall colors were close to peak!

Although these pictures really did not do it much justice.
During the ride, Kate and I found a rope swing that, of course, we had to make use of.
We are hoping for continued great Fall weather so we can fit in a few more rides like this!
