Where have 2 years gone! We decided to take advantage of a free weekend day and head to a park that we hadn't been to before. We picked Willow Falls State Park in Wisconsin and besides the park rangers who took their jobs way to seriously, weren't disappointed. We should have seen it coming when upon entering the park, we were immediately yelled at for not having our sticker affixed to the windshield. We parked a couple of miles away to enjoy a long hike to the falls. Mikko loves the freedom of hiking without her leash, and as there weren't any cars around, we figured that we weren't going to disturb anyone....until the ranger DROVE up the hiking trial to tell us to put our dog on a leash. We saw one other couple on the trail on the trail to the falls that we shared a laugh with as their dogs were off leash too :).
The falls were beautiful and so peaceful until a family of about 60 came and jumped into the falls. Call me a paranoid future parent, but I don't know if I would let my kids swim in a waterfall unattended!
On our actual anniversary we caught dinner at Rock Bottom and went to Mary Poppins at the Orpheum.
